The Stock Exchange of Thailand's main index was up 6.77 points or 0.43% to close at 1,589.29 points today. Total trading value was 59.04 billion baht with 11.62 billion shares changing hands. The SET50 index ended at 996.23 points, up 4.93 points or 0.50%, in trade worth 36.12 billion baht. The MAI index went up 1.51 points or 0.24% to close at 637.61 points with total transaction value of 2.01 billion baht. Local institutions, brokers and foreign investors were net buyers of 916 million baht, 473 million baht and 541 million baht respectively.
